Award Program Information
You can earn 1 AAdvantage® mile for every $1 on eligible purchases made with your Citi® Platinum Select® / AAdvantage® World MasterCard®.
The maximum number of AAdvantage® miles you can earn with the Citi® Platinum Select® / AAdvantage® World MasterCard® is 100,000 AAdvantage® miles per calendar year (purchases recorded on your Jan.-Dec. billing statements). AAdvantage® Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage® Platinum® and AAdvantage® Gold® members are excluded from these limits. AAdvantage® miles are earned on all purchases except returned goods and services, cash advance, convenience checks, transferred balances, credits, fees and finance charges.
A portion of travel may be on American Eagle or AmericanConnection® service, regional airline associates of American Airlines."
Miles may never expire, provided that once every three years you (i) fly on American Airlines, American Eagle, AmericanConnection® carriers, or an airline participant in the AAdvantage® program or (ii) have qualifying AAdvantage® participant account activity. Program allows card members to redeem AAdvantage® miles for MileSAAverSM awards to selected locations. Locations change quarterly. Platinum card members save 7,500 AAdvantage® miles. Redemption of Reduced Mileage Awards applies only to bookings made by phone through American Airlines reservations or through airport or city ticket offices. All such award travel is subject to an additional payment of $15. The above amount does not apply to AAdvantage® Executive Platinum® members and AAirpass® customers. Passenger is responsible for any applicable taxes and fees from $46-$60 for domestic award travel and from $70 to $175 for international award travel. Award travel may include redemption of AAdvantage® miles earned through purchases of goods and services, including purchases made by use of the Citi® / AAdvantage® card.
American Airlines, American Eagle, and AmericanConnection® service do not have restricted dates for award travel. Seats for award travel are limited, and may not be available on all flights. Flight awards are subject to AAdvantage® program rules and restrictions.
